First Tee players who are only playing 9 are highlighted in the link below. WSGC members are welcome to continue on and play the full round.

Transportation Reminder:  The West Seattle High-Level Bridge is closed, and the low-level bridge is also closed to non-essential traffic.  Getting to the West Seattle Golf Course may take longer than expected; please plan accordingly.

First Tee Scramble

Format – Team Scramble, stroke play.  Each player hits from the tee; the preferred shot is selected, and each player plays the next shot from within one club length of the mark, no nearer the hole (six (6) inches from a mark on the putting surface).  This format is repeated until the ball is holed.  The team score is recorded.

Drives – Each team must use 1 drive per player over the holes played. Record on Scorecard.

Divisions – We will score the front 9 and the back 9 as separate competitions.  Prizes will be distributed to the First Tee participants and based on the stoke play scores for the front/back 9; a prize table will be set up for the First Tee participants.

Tees – All Adult Males will play from the White Tees.  Adult Females will play from their standard tee.  The tee boxes for the First Tee participants will be determined by age/skill level at the start of the event.

Line of Putt* – Teammates may stand in the line of each other’s putt. This is permitted for this scramble event only. *This is a rule every player should review for play in other events.

Pace of play – Teams are expected to keep up with the group in front of them. Teams should take no longer than 2 Minutes to Tee Off on each hole after it is clear to hit.  Your group is out of position if your round is played in 4 hours 15 minutes or more.  Everyone on the course can do something to play faster.

Food & Beverages  – The restaurant at the West Seattle Golf Course offers a full complement of food and beverages.  For this event, the restaurant has agreed to provide a hot dog, chips, and soda combination for $9; a vegetarian option will be available to substitute for the hot dog.
