As a club we have a responsibility to make golf enjoyable for everyone playing on the course and this includes playing at a good pace. Here is what we find in the USGA Rules of Golf –
Rule 5.6b. Prompt Pace of Play states: “A round of golf is meant to be played at a prompt pace. Each players should recognize that his or her pace of play is likely to affect how long it will take other players to play their rounds, including both those in the player’s own group and those in following groups.”
We are looking at the guidelines published by WA Golf and making plans to implement a fair pace of play policy for our tournaments. Take a moment to read and let us know what you think. Our tournament rounds should not be 5 hours or more.
